The GOP $queeze play, time to pour it on the Neocon$!!
Thu Jul 17, 2008 at 06:46:42 AM PDT
Obama doubles McCain in fund raising but the RNC is raising boat loads of money from the super rich!!!
Last week, McCain reported raising more than $22 million in June, which was his best month of the year. Together, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee began July with about $95 million in the bank.
and on our side
The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee ended June with a combined total of $92.3 million in the bank. The figure represents a notable fundraising jump, especially for the DNC.

Start with offshore drilling off the coast of Florida!!!
Mon Jul 14, 2008 at 03:52:53 PM PDT
Wow!!!
I can't beleive the stupidity of George Bush and John McCain.
The right wing talking points on Flat Earth radio today was the GOP trying to lay the blame on gasoline prices on the shoulders of the environmentalists. So our Genius and chief symbollically lifted the offshore ban his father put there when he was President.. and the right wing noise machine (who doesn't want to talk about the economy today) once again pointed the finger at the Democrats for all of the woes on gas prices...
Give me a Fuc!$%* break!!!
Why didn't they push harder pre 2006 when they controlled Congress and the Executive Branch?
Watching Obama's base slowly crumble away....
Sun Jul 13, 2008 at 06:56:43 AM PDT
I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it really did start with the whole FISA deal....
Maybe it was Obama backing off on hs position and take private donations....
Maybe it was Jesse Jackson wanting to cut Obama's nuts off...
Well Rasmussen and Newsweek have John McCain and Obama in a statistical tie:
Rasmussen
Newsweek
enough margins for the Diebold machines to steal another election.
Enough of a margin to keep the race close in order to declare John McCain the winner....
Are we drinking the media Kool Aide?
The "Liberal" Supreme Court and what the right hates to hear....
Fri Jul 04, 2008 at 06:26:23 AM PDT
I found a soft weak spot on the underbelly of a local right wing radio hack the other day. The topic was the 2nd Amendment, the subject was the U.S. Supreme court. He was arguing how close the Supreme court is on turning over the 2nd Amendment (God, Guns, and Gays argument(again). when I called up to let him know that I was pretty sure that only two members of the Supreme Court had been picked by a Democratic President. He was livid and try posture his arguement claiming a Liberal Supreme court. The truth really struck him hard and swift. He obviously had been drinking his own Kool Aid and forgotten who put these guys in office. I double checked by math....
sure enough, I was right....

I'm a proponent of the Second Amendment (especially after seeing the Neocons try to take over our government) as was many of the founding fathers, my father started out in the streets of Albuquerque as an officer and eventually retired with the Drug Enforcement Administration. He was a true hero trying keep drugs out of our chilren's hands his entire life. I was brought up around guns and understand the seriousness of using a weapon. He always emphasized to me, "once you pull a trigger on a weapon, it can never be taken back" and "never pull out a weapon on another person unless you feel you or your family's life is threatened. As an officer the same rule applied; Never use your weapon unless you intend on killing the person in self defense.

Imagine an oil spill on Florida's coast? John McCain just lost Florida ...
Wed Jun 18, 2008 at 05:24:27 AM PDT
John McCain just set helped us win Florida and set up our next commercials to run in those respected markets from now until Novemeber. Please be sure to watch the video at the end of this diary. It was well made!!!

Imagine what it would do to Florida's economy?
Yeah!! Republicans and New Voters joining our party in record numbers!!!
Mon Jun 16, 2008 at 05:03:37 AM PDT
I called the Democratic party headquarters in New Mexico where they told me new voter registration is continuing to surge with many crossover Republicans changing party affiliation!!!
In California:
What’s most telling about these statistics is that Democrats have continued to add to their numbers after the February 5 Presidential Primary. The percentage gap between Democrats and Republicans continues to grow. But get this: The number of Republican registrants has actually dropped—if this trend continues, Republicans could see themselves outnumbered by "decline-to-state" voters who have no party registration—and who tend to vote Democratic. The numbers are significant in a number of Assembly and State Senate Districts that have been close contests in the past, and no doubt in key Congressional District where Democrats hope to ride a surge of new voters brought into the party by an interest in the Presidential race—most notably the campaign of Barack Obama.

My gut feeling: This is the national trend!!!
Salon: Cindy McCain stole from a non profit group? WTF?
Sun Jun 15, 2008 at 05:37:13 AM PDT
This was news to me. I'm sure it has been diaried and "out there" for a while but it's funny. With Cindy's PR team trying to bolster her image I would have never knew this about her if I hadn't run into this story surfing...
As the Republicans go after Michelle Obama they had better think twice.
How Cindy McCain was outed for drug addiction
When an attempt to get tough with a whistleblower backfired in 1994, the McCain spin machine went into overdrive, and the candidate's wife confessed to problems the media was already poised to reveal.
By Amy Silverman
Oct. 18, 1999 | PHOENIX -- GOP presidential candidate John McCain's wife Cindy took to the airwaves last week, recounting for Jane Pauley (on "Dateline") and Diane Sawyer (on "Good Morning America") the tale of her onetime addiction to Percocet and Vicodin, and the fact that she stole the drugs from her own nonprofit medical relief organization.
It was a brave and obviously painful thing to do.

We just need more drilling to fix the gas problem!!
Wed Jun 11, 2008 at 03:41:04 PM PDT
Good Ole Boy Mitch McConnell who may have his hands full for reelection attacked Obama today on energy trying to frame the old debate regarding drilling for oil in the United States (where the GOP likes to use euphemisms and call it "energy expoloration" or "energy production".
I have been hearing more and more of the right wing noise machine arguing on behalf of the oil companies to increase drilling on the coast (except Florida which would definately cost the GOP the state), in Alaska, in the Southwest.
Here is my counter arguement to Mitch and the rest of the "Big Oil" owned prostitutes:
Breaking: Ron Paul may crash GOP convention!!!
Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 02:59:49 PM PDT
I hope Ron Paul runs as an independent!!! Talk about a candidate who was totally disrespected!!!
I hope Ron Paul (and his following) slams the Neoconservatives responsible for the state of their party and holds their feet to the fire.
There is a growing surge of people out there just craving" for a return "to traditional American government, limited government that places personal liberty first and places an emphasis on personal responsibility and essentially gets out of the way after that," Benton said. "The buzz we get from supporters is that they are very eager to come to St. Paul and very eager to send a strong message."
McCain spokesman Jeff Sadosky declined comment. Paul has won 35 convention delegates, but was not invited to speak in St. Paul because he refuses to endorse McCain, according to his campaign.
Paul's plan to stage his own event is bad news for McCain, said G. Terry Madonna, a political scientist at Franklin & Marshall College.

I'm giving Hillary $20.00 as a peace offering : )
Sat Jun 07, 2008 at 01:56:12 PM PDT
If you guys read my diaries, I haven't been a Hillary supporter for some time. As the matter of fact, I've tried my best to help raise money to get Obama the nomination on the blogs and outside of the blogs. However after today's very passionate and genuine speech I really felt that she made a tremendous effort to put the party first. I'm hoping out of the 1.5 million Obama supporters there are at least one million who could help the Clintons retire their debt and another one and a half million Clinton supporters (who will help her out)and will unite with all of the Obama supporters to raise money for Obama here on after....
McCain is in serious trouble....
Thu Jun 05, 2008 at 05:39:19 AM PDT
Right Wing talking points:
-Obama is a good speaker without substance...
-Obama is inexperienced....
-Obama is risky....
-Obama doesn't have foreign policy experience...
-Obama is the most liberal candidate ever who will raise your taxes....
and then there's the old stuff with Reverend Wright, Patriotism, Flag Lapel Pins, Bittergate, Gays, God, and Guns etc. that you will hear boobs like Sean Hannity and Bill O'reilly throw to their sheep every night...
We'll come back to this....
Barack Obama defeating The Clinton machine is the equivelent of David beating Goliath in political analogy. In January 31, 2007 Hillary Clinton had almost a 17 point lead with all the momentum, money and political infastructure any politician could only wish to have....

Lt. General Ricardo Sanchez slams Bush (media burying this story)
Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 09:00:47 AM PDT
Hmmmmmm? Why isn't this story getting any traction in the media? This should be on every front page and 24 hour news network..
Another mutiny on the GOP's hands. While Scott McClellan story is getting the publicity another credible eye witness to the Bush Blunder who was in the middle of the entire mess came out with a book of his own. The media neglected to tell the Lt. General's account while they tried to sweep the McClellan story under the rug "killing the messenger" without covering the substance of McClellan's allegations.
While Petreus is viewed as a hero for supporting the Administration's position, guys like Lt. General Sanchez get no limelight for telling it like it is....
Getting lost in the media furor over McClellan's memoir is the new autobiography of retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez, the onetime commander of U.S. troops in Iraq, who is scathing in his assessment that the Bush administration "led America into a strategic blunder of historic proportions."
